Common Questions
FAQ
What does an in-person coaching session look like?
+
Think of me as your on-demand run buddy, form corrector, and personal cheerleader. During my 1-hour session (2 hours available for long runs), I will:
- Meet you at a safe, public location at a time convenient for you.
- Lead a dynamic warmup and explain the day's training plan.
- Run or walk right alongside you the entire time to manage your pace, intervals, and breathing.
- Provide real-time form correction and monitor your effort level.
- Lead a cool-down stretch and debrief on your progress.
Where do the run coaching sessions take place?
+
Sessions take place wherever you like to run—your neighborhood, a local trail, or a park. I come to you. I'm based in Seattle, WA and serve the surrounding area.
Can't I just go run alone?
+
Running is free, but staying consistent alone is hard. I provide the external accountability, expert pain-point solutions, and daily motivation you need to actually get out the door and see progress.
What makes this better than joining a running group?
+
Group runs can be intimidating. Beginners often get left at the back of the pack, struggling to keep up. Private coaching eliminates that stress by tailoring every second of the workout to your exact fitness level. Once your confidence is high, I will happily help you transition into the local run community.
Can you start with walking? I can't run yet.
+
Absolutely. This is exactly why I am here. I will start with intentional walking strategies and gradually introduce running using a comfortable, proven run/walk method. All you have to do is show up.
What if the weather is bad?
+
Unless there is lightning, extreme safety hazards, or a meteor heading this way, I run! I'm here to help you build willpower alongside your cardiovascular fitness.
Do I need to be a fast or experienced runner?
+
Not at all. I work with runners of all paces and backgrounds—from complete beginners just getting started to people looking to push past a plateau. I go at your pace, literally.
Can I just book massage sessions with you?
+
Yes! I offer both relaxation and sports massage independent of running coaching.
Where do massage sessions happen?
+
Massage sessions are held at my studio in the Seattle area. Exact location details are provided when you book.
How far in advance should I book?
+
I recommend booking at least a few days ahead, especially for weekend slots which tend to fill up quickly. Book through Calendly and I'll confirm availability within 24 hours.
What is your cancellation policy?
+
Please give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee—I'll go over this when I confirm your booking.
